We support the work of the Community Dorm Odyssey House women&#8217;s shelter, the food bank, Habitat for Humanity, the chronically mentally ill and\u00a0<a style=\"color: #808080;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.kairoscanada.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KAIROS<\/a> (Canadian Ecumenical Justice Initiatives). We use fair trade coffee in some of our gatherings.\u00a0 By encouraging our people to support the United Church&#8217;s <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.united-church.ca\/funding\/msfund\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mission and Service Fund<\/a>,<\/span> we are able to participate in Providing relief to areas of drought and famine, Supporting United Church Overseas Personnel doing work in education, medicines advocacy and pastoral leadership and giving support for chaplaincy work, struggling congregations and inner city shelters in Canada.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Advocacy is part of outreach, and St. Paul&#8217;s has submitted petitions and letters to the government on such issues as child poverty and cancellation of debt for the poorest of the third world countries. In 1999 we began sponsoring a refugee family.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Outreach Fund<\/span>: The congregation maintains a modest fund from which they can provide immediate assistance to People in times of financial crisis.
